NEMSMA lawyer, consultant, author, educator and board member dies at 53

WILLIAMSBURG, Virginia – Allison Bloom, 53, co-founder and general counsel of Cambridge Consulting Group, died on December 29 at her Williamsburg home.

During her career spanning more than 30 years, Bloom has worked as a lawyer, consultant, coach, author and educator in EMS. From 2015 to 2020, she served on the board of directors of the National EMS Management Association and was a member of the American College of Paramedic Executives.

Bloom had continued his life of service after being diagnosed with cancer just over a year before his death, according to his colleagues at Cambridge. She passed away peacefully at her home with loved ones nearby.

Bloom would have been very proud of her EMT certification. She has served as an EMS department manager, training and personnel manager at Easton Volunteer EMS in Connecticut.

A Cambridge statement also says Bloom has “helped develop an accreditation program for EMS managers and worked with industry and trade show experts to move the program forward.”

Bloom was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity.
