Matt Hollingsworth is the CEO and co-founder of Carta Health, a provider of AI-powered clinical data abstraction technologies and services. Matt has an MBA from Stanford University and studied high energy physics, doing his research at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) as part of the team that discovered the Higgs boson. Prior to CERN, Matt co-founded a tech startup, Global Dressage Analytics, and provided technical leadership for another startup, Deepfield, which provides telecommunications analytics. He has also proposed, won and managed projects for the Department of Defense and managed projects for various Internet of Things (IoT) applications at Samsung.

Andrew Shin, MD, is Clinical Professor of Cardiology at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital of Stanford University and Executive Medical Director, Innovations and Clinical Effectiveness for Stanford Children’s Health. His research has leveraged microsystems, improvement science, and the principles of high-reliability organizations to better understand the intersection between quality and efficiency in healthcare delivery. As Medical Director of Systems Design for Utilization Research at Stanford (SURF MEDICINE), Dr. Shin translates his research to improve the value of healthcare using advanced high-throughput analytics such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. He completed his residency in Pediatrics and his dual fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Critical Care at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Shin is Associate Medical Director of Cardiovascular Critical Care Services and Board Member of the Pediatric Congenital Heart Association, Carta Healthcare, and Liaison for the American Heart Association Steering Committee of the Council on Quality of Care and Outcomes Research.
