His journey with land of logos started in 2016 when Biswas first noticed the new Eindhoven city logo. Biswas was fascinated by the city branding and corporate identities spotted across the Netherlands. “In everyday life, whether you were born in such or such a municipality or live in it or are just passing through, you come across these logos […]. We rarely wonder what these logos really mean,” he recalls in his work.

The book devotes discussions to the types of logos, their meaning and origin, the meaning of their colors and shapes, and the process of developing their design.

Based on empirical evidence and four years of research, Biswas highlights key aspects of the process of successfully creating and introducing a new city logo and guideline.

It is “the first such initiative in the Netherlands by a Bangladeshi author”, the Bangladeshi Embassy in the Netherlands said of the book.
