Local author Tiffany Dunham is back with her latest children’s book, Swat the Fly! A new interactive book for children ages 1-4, Swat the Fly! was written here at Cannon Beach.
Similar in style to books such as ‘Pat the Bunny’, ‘The Button Book’ and books by Sandra Boynton, this is a simple story that is perfect for the attention of its young audience. Children become involved in the story and interact with the book from beginning to end.
Illustrated by Lauren Alpert, a CA resident with 25 years of experience in graphic design and art direction, the images are sure to captivate babies, toddlers and preschoolers.
Kids love smacks and swats on the fly as a brother and sister duo chase him around the house in an attempt to get rid of him. Squash the fly! is a book that teaches children not to have an irrational fear of insects, and it also builds good hand-eye coordination.
What will happen to the fly? With an unexpected ending, it’s sure to surprise and entertain!
