La Salle Library Virtually Welcomes Bestselling Author Jasmine Guillory – Shaw Local
La Salle Public Library, in partnership with Illinois Libraries Presents, will host best-selling author, Jasmine Guillory, virtually at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16. Dubbed one of the brightest new voices in romance, Guillory will discuss her latest novel, Encounter” and modern romantic comedy.
Jasmine Guillory is a writer, lawyer, and New York Times bestselling author of six romance novels, including “The Wedding Date,” “Royal Holiday” and “Party of Two.” NPR called Guillory’s “The Proposal” “exuberant, charming and endlessly pungent”. Her work has appeared in O, The Oprah Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Bon Appetit and Time. She lives in Oakland, California. In “While We Were Dating,” Guillory’s latest book, two people realize it’s no longer an act when they step out of the script in this steamy romantic comedy.
Guillory will be joined in conversation with author Morgan Rogers. Roger’s work has been praised by O, The Oprah Magazine and Book Riot. Guillory’s “While We Were Dating” and Rogers’ “Honey Girl” were included in NPR’s list of Best Books of 2021.
