The title of his talk for the Trinity Health Expo is Freedom From Toxic Thoughts.

Marcie Friesner said, “When the world around you puts you in survival mode, how do you cope?”

She provides seven practical steps through her shared experiences, insights from her “Her Child” devotion, and proven strategies for rising above toxic circumstances and thought patterns and into a life where fulfillment begins.

Seven steps to survive and thrive:

1) Become a property manager. (You decide who you rent your headspace to)

2) Think out of the impossible.

3) Practice positivity. (Impossible)

4) Remember that even the impossible is possible with God. (I AM possible)

5) Take every thought captive.

6) Just move on to the next step.

7) Walk in this new perspective.

Marcie received her BSEd from Dominican University in Ohio and has been teaching for over 29 years. She currently resides and serves in Swansboro, North Carolina, where she is Principal of Salt and Light Academy (a denominational educational setting for K-12 students) and is an ordained minister serving TJ (a outreach mission named after the biblical prophets Timothy and Jeremiah).

In addition to educating children, Marcie is certified in North Carolina as a Peer Support Specialist and is a catalyst of encouragement for people at all stages of life. With her emotional support mutt Willow by her side, she can be found serving victims of human trafficking, loving and empowering women in recovery and caring for the needy in her local community and abroad.

Marcie recently co-wrote a 40-day devotional, ‘His Child’ with SA Moore and continues to use her gifts of writing and speaking to bring others closer to Jesus and encourage them to use God’s Word as a source of inspiration. empowerment to get through what life has brought them. She is a mom of three young adults and enjoys playing the piano, decorating cakes and making iced chai lattes.
