The best-selling author will participate in a question-and-answer session with visitors who can purchase autographed copies of her novels.
This happens between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
All proceeds from the sale of the books will be donated to Boston’s Centrepoint Outreach, a charity that helps the homeless and others in need.
Joy Ellis is a former florist turned novelist. Many of her novels are based in the Fens, where she lives with her partner, a retired police detective.
His titles include Killer on the Fens, Darkness on the Fens, Their Lost Daughters, The Night Thief, They Disappeared, Five Bloody Hearts, The Dying Light and The Guilty Ones.
Alison Wade, GLL Library Manager, said, “We are very pleased that Joy Ellis has agreed to join us for Celebrate the Fens Day.
“His books are hugely popular with library readers and feature the local landscape and places that people in Boston and the wider swamp region know.
“This is the first time in recent years that we have organized an event for authors and we are really excited about the prospect.
“The Boston Library is the perfect place to promote local authors and for locals to learn more about the writing process. »
