Child author shares tips for being brave

With several tragedies involving young children across the country this year, it can be difficult for parents to have a conversation with their children about courage in a scary world. A young author wants to share that anyone can be brave in the face of adversity by channeling their inner superhero, like Captain America, Batman or Wonder Woman. “My mom told me if you want to be happy, you have to be brave,” Carson told De Novo. “So I decided to write a book about courage.” Young Carson De Novo is following in the footsteps of her mother, Dannie De Novo, the author of “Get In A Good Mood And Stay There”, by writing her own book: “The Adventures of Captain Kit”, with the message to stay strong in adversity. “The key is that our children are watching us and picking up our energy,” Dannie De Novo said. “So I’m saying your child is a mirror child. Whatever happens with you, your child is going to start showing it. So we have to be very aware of how we feel and how we behave because our kids are So if I’m anxious, she’s going to be anxious.
