The Walking Dead – author actors
Anne Mahoney
Another TWDU actress who is also a writer is Ann Mahoney, who played Olivia, the stock manager at Alexandria. She’s also the character who had the privilege of slapping Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan0) for his rude comment. Mahoney wrote a book, Slap!!! Courage for the actor on camera. This book serves as a guide for actors trying to break into the business or those looking to transition from stage to film and/or television.
Vincent M. Ward
Vincent M. Ward is well known in TWDU for this portrayal of Oscar, one of the prisoners discovered by Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his group in the West Georgia Correctional Facility from Season 3. Be sure to consult this book, The stepfather volume 1. This story begins as a murder mystery that becomes a battle between good and evil as Rochelle seeks to find out if Paul is “the one.”
Callan McAuliffe
The character of Alden, who died in season 11 at the hands of the Reapers, was portrayed by Callan McAuliffe. He wrote a book, illustrated by his father, Roger McAuliffe, author and journalist, titled The ghost of the hill. Set in rural Scotland in the early 19th century, this book follows a noble Tibetan Mastiff and a seagull tasked with protecting their sheep from a pack of wolves.
Hilarie Burton Morgan
During the Season 10c episode “Here’s Negan,” fans were finally introduced to Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) wife, Lucille, played by his real wife, Hilarie Burton Morgan. She did a fantastic job in the role, and fans wish she survived to see more of this powerful character. Burton Morgan wears many hats, including that of an author. She wrote a book, The Rural Diaries: Love, Livestock, and Big Life Lessons Down on Mischief Farm, which chronicles the life of the Morgans on their farm, Mischief Farm, in upstate New York. She also shared that she has started writing her next book.
