Booming Liberian Author Set to Launch ‘Every Student’s Compass Book’ Soon – FrontPageAfrica
Monrovia– A young Liberian writer, Anthony Ntem, is set to launch a book that sheds light on how students deal with low self-esteem, set academic goals, choose the right career path and make a difference in society.
The book titled “Every Student’s Compass Book” was published in 2021 and is set to launch on March 24, 2022 at Stella Maris Polytechnic University, Monrovia.
The March 23, 2021 Every Student’s Compass book has been officially endorsed by the Department of Education through its Center of Excellence for Curriculum Development and Textbook Research; thus certifying the book to be taught in secondary schools across the country.
The Center found that the book revealed tremendous thought of excellence providing confidence-building light and a career development blueprint for every young person seeking a brighter future.
The book consists of seven chapters:
Chapter 1: Self-Esteem – shares his experience as a victim of low self-esteem, ways to build self-esteem and an interesting fable for readers.
Chapter 2: Self-Confidence – shares the story of a student with self-confidence, the story of a student who lacked self-confidence and shows readers how to develop self-confidence.
Chapter 3: “Goal Setting” – teaches students how to set goals using the COMPASS technique and why students don’t achieve their goals.
Chapter 4: “Career Decision Making” – teaches students how to choose the right career using the TIPS keys. (Talents, Personalities, Interests and Norms).
Chapter 5: “Be a Light” – teaches students how to make an impact on society.
Chapter 6: “Math is fun” – explains that any student can learn math, why many students don’t believe it and math tips.
Chapter 7 “Educational Website” – lists important sites for students to get free books, research and apply for global opportunities.
The author, Anthony Ntem, is the founder of Great Minds-Africa, an online platform that provides students and young people in Africa with a stage to develop their skills and talents for global relevance in society.
Anthony Ntem has spent the past three years helping students and young people overcome low self-esteem, set goals using the COMPASS goal setting technique, choose the right career path and make a difference in society.
