The Stanislaus County Library will host its 11th annual Local Authors’ Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday on the Portico of the Modesto Library. Community members will have the opportunity to meet various local authors. A selection of children’s, teen and adult titles in a variety of genres will be available for purchase.
Participating authors include Pamela Atherstone, Karen Baker, Jennie Chadwick, Ellen Cummins, Harold DeArmond, David DeBrito, Mike Dowd, Connie Drumm, Brian Duggan, Claudia Hagen, Kathryn Inman, Wiley Joiner, Donald Kropp, Breanna Mendoza, Carmen Maria Navarro, Claudia Newcorn, Patti Robinson, Salvatore Salerno, Linda Scheller, Gary Thomas, Lee Tidball, Ken White and Chrys Wimer.
“The Local Authors Fair is a great opportunity to meet local authors and ask questions about their work,” said Susan Lilly, communications, marketing and fund development manager for the Stanislaus County Library. “The event showcases writing talent across various genres.”
The event is free and will take place on the 16e Street side of the portico of the library. The Modesto Library is located at 1500 I Street. Free parking is available in the parking lot behind the library and in the surrounding streets.
