Author hopes to inspire people to live their best lives

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – Some people know exactly what they want to do with their life when they’re very young. For others, it takes a little determination. You could say the light bulb turned on for Clancy Clark when he was 23.

Like many growing children, he wanted to make his father proud. So he enrolled in college and started getting a business degree. However, it didn’t take long for him to discover that this was not the way for him.

“During my college days, I felt like I was going in circles and school wasn’t fulfilling for me, but I didn’t want to disappoint my dad, so I stuck with that,” a- he declared.

Clark attended three different colleges and changed specializations as many times before fate finally intervened.

That all changed when, while attending Montana State University, he obtained a border collie sheepdog. Clark named the puppy Arlo and then decided to help the young dog follow the paw prints of his ancestors.

“Arlo has shown me that doing the things in life that you’re supposed to do is what it’s about,” Clark said. “Watching instinct come to life in this dog as he answered his call to keep sheep was an eye opener for me to follow my own intuition and do the things that satisfy me the most.”

In his new book, “Love Your Work Live Your Dream,” scheduled for release by Trail Boot Press in January, Clark shares his personal story of how life turned out for him.

It sprinkles much of the wisdom learned along the way. Plus, it gives readers practical tools to enjoy truly meaningful work, get a clear view of their best life, and connect the dots in between.

As they progress through the book, readers learn that after leaving college, Clark went to work as a sheep farmer. As this industry continued to shrink, he accepted a position as manager of a feed store and eventually began working in outside sales, going through three different chapters of a decade, following his intuition with each. step of the process.

“A lot of people will tell you, when you follow your intuition, how crazy you are. A lot of people told me that, but I just did what I was called to do, ”said Clark, who has quickly risen to the top of every company he’s worked with.

Throughout the book, Clark reveals concepts and actions that are essential for meaningful work and the fulfillment of dreams, including this sample: There are three options to explore if you’re unhappy at work, don’t anyone can take action each day to move forward towards the life they envision, and there are no endpoints in life, only waypoints.

Clark wants everyone who read his book to buy into the idea that living on purpose is about making choices based on their intuition, not what society dictates or what someone else might say is good for you. them.

He also proclaims that everyone should aspire to serve others.

“I believe this is the only way to be fulfilled and happy in your career and in your life. Whatever we do, there has to be an element of service to others to reach our highest potential, ”said Clark.

He adds that when people live by this principle, they experience a sense of inner achievement, create meaningful lives for themselves, and contribute to the lives of those they meet along the way.

Clark concluded, “To make the world a better place, make your world a better place. This is one of the key messages of “Love your job, live your dream”, and I intend to help as many people as I can. “
