Australian author Tim Winton shows Love Nature, ABC around Ningaloo in Australia | News
Blue Ant Media’s natural history channel, Love Nature, and Australian pub channel ABC have given the green light to a series on the Ningaloo region of Western Australia, starring Australian author Tim Winton.
Ningaloo with Tim Winton (working title) is a 3 × 50 ‘docusery exploring one of the last pristine regions on the planet, the 604,500 hectares of the Ningaloo Coast.
Winton, who tells and writes the series, will share personal stories of animals and people drawn to the isolation and landscape of Ningaloo, a biodiversity hotspot that survives in a near pristine state. Ningaloo contains one of the largest fringing coral reefs on the planet and is a Unesco World Heritage Site.
Ningaloo with Tim Winton is produced by Artemis Media in association with Matter of Factual and in co-production with ABC and Love Nature. It is slated to roll out to Love Nature platforms internationally and Sky Nature in the UK, Germany and Italy later this year.
Flame Distribution manages worldwide sales outside of all co-producer territories.
“Ningaloo with Tim Winton is an important Australian story that will unlock access to one of the last unspoiled landscapes on the planet, while creating an emotional connection between the public and the native wildlife and culture of the Ningaloo Coast,” said Carlyn Staudt, Global Managing Director. at Amour Nature.
