On a futuristic Earth covered in the ruins of civilization and populated by different factions of animal/human hybrids, as well as vampires and werewolves, a war is brewing.
In the futuristic sci-fi “Genetic Killing Fields: Chronicles of Alternate Earth, Part 1,” by Peter A. Rodriguez, the successful mixing of human DNA with animals happened around the same time as the revelation surprising that vampires do, in fact, exist. It didn’t take long for the results of these experiments to evolve and destroy humanity. With no more humans to wage war with, the new races formed their own packs and herds. They settled and organized, established boundaries and traditions, and found deities to worship.
“I’ve been writing this story in my head since I was a little kid,” Rodriguez said.
After 17 years in law enforcement and without formal writing lessons, Rodriguez was able to achieve his goal despite his apprehensions, lack of resources, and fears of being accepted.
Epic battles ensue between the human/animal hybrids, as alleged infractions have forced them to take up arms against each other.
“Trouble really begins after another entity appears that wants to destroy them all,” Rodriguez said, “for no other reason than fun. Can they put their differences aside to fend off this unstoppable threat?
